live free armory should I RE-torque lugnuts on aluminum alloy wheels?

There’s a lot of talk about retorquing aluminum alloy wheels. In this video we rotate the tires on a Subaru legacy. It has the aluminum alloy wheels. After a week of driving that we bring it back into the garage to see if any of the Lugnuts need to be retightened. When we go through the process of re-torquing all the Lugnuts we do find about three Lugnuts that are slightly out of torque specification, I don’t know if it’s enough that the wheels would fall off in anyway shape or form, but I will say that if you wanted to play it safe it’s not a bad idea to re-torque your aluminum alloy wheels. In fact it might not be a bad idea to check your steel wheels from time to time just to make sure the bolts are coming off. I have had two of our vehicles have the wheels come off, and this is after taking them to certified inspection garages. After having this happen are usually double check the lug nuts after an inspection anyway. Hope you found the video useful
